Details

Learn how to create a fabulous pendant using copper and silver whilst getting to grips with piercing (sawing) metal as well as drilling, filing and texturing the metal. There is no soldering involved in this project. This 3-hour class is ideal for beginners, but can also be taken by improvers wishing to work on their piercing skills. All tools, materials and refreshments are provided and numbers are limited to a maximum of 8 participants to ensure you receive individual attention. Classes are taught by jewellery designer and goldsmith Kate Seow. They are held in the Pop-Up Shop, Yarm High Street. Details including parking will be emailed to you after booking, but please email kate@kateseowjewellery.co.uk if you have any queries beforehand. This class is suitable for participants aged 16 and over. Private workshops are available for younger participants and/or groups of 4 or more. Booking Policy

Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved. Places are only confirmed once full payment has been received. Cancellations made more than 7 days in advance receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance but more than 48 hrs in advance receive 50% refund (please contact me to arrange). Cancellations made less than 48 hrs in advance are not eligible for a refund. Please contact me to reschedule. In the event that I have to cancel a workshop, you will be offered the choice between a full refund or to book onto another workshop within two years of the date of the original workshop. Silversmithing can be a dirty and sometimes dangerous process, so workshops are only suitable for attendees aged 16 and over (unless stated otherwise at the time of booking). Appropriate clothing and footwear are essential - please don’t wear long, flowing attire (e.g. scarves, ties, long pendants, wide sleeves) that could get caught. Midriffs should be covered, and legs should be covered to at least below the knee. Please wear fully enclosed shoes with little or no heel (i.e. no flip-flops, sandals or stiletto heels). Long hair should be tied back. As these guidelines form part of my safety policy, failure to adhere to them may mean that you will not be allowed to take part in the workshop and you will not be eligible for a refund. Abusive behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated and individuals behaving in this manner will be removed immediately from the workshop. You will not receive a refund and may be banned from attending future workshops. Similarly, individuals who are under the influence of alcohol or other substances will not be allowed to take part in workshops and will not be eligible for a refund.
